Voicemail with messages forwarded to your email address
Advanced voicemail features
Norango Freedom users benefit from the use of a sophisticated voicemail platform. Calls can be forwarded to your voicemail if you are busy, away from your desk or if the system recognises a number from a caller you would prefer not to speak to (you can even choose to reject a call sending it to your mailbox). It is possible to record a specific greeting for most circumstances including time of day or day of the week.
Retrieve your messages from anywhere!
You can access and retrieve messages from your desk phone, from an external number dialling in or if you prefer, have the message (audio file) automatically forwarded via email. With Norango Freedom it is also possible to reply to voicemails left by colleagues by recording a response and sending it to their voicemail box. Reception can greet calls and direct the caller to your voicemail for an even more professional image.

Never Miss a Call with total call control
The open architecture of the Norango Freedom platform supports a comprehensive array of call forwarding features. Based on rules that can be set up in minutes, incoming calls can be directed in a multitude of ways to compliment the way you work, for example; incoming calls can be diverted to other extensions, mobile phones or a live Norango receptionist according to time of day, when you are busy or when you are in a meeting.
Caller Line Identification
Caller line identification means different callers can be handled differently, new sales enquiries may be answered by a live Norango receptionist whilst friends and relatives may be routed to your mobile or home. Freedom even allows the system to interrogate the caller asking for their name or pin number so that you can accept or reject the call - you are in control!
Calls can cascade through a number of target numbers until you are found; enabling "One number" working.
Extension Groups - Department Ring Groups - Call pickup
Delivering calls to the correct department or group
Groups of individuals can be created to reflect your departmental or team methodology. Ring groups are collectives of users that may be located in the same office or distributed anywhere in the world, in fact regardless of location calls can be directed to the most appropriate personnel.
Ring methods
Ring groups in standard mode will simply "ring all" users simultaneously, Norango Freedom however, supports a variety of ring modes, "hunt" (will ring a predefined list of users in the order set), "longest idle" (will ring the user within the group who has been waiting the longest to take a call) and "sequential" (where each user is called in turn).
If a colleagues extension is ringing you are able to "pickup" the call from your telephone keypad.

Helping you to get through busy times
Call parking is a great feature for those times when your phones are very busy, it allows you to put several active calls on hold (playing callers a system message or some music) and to go back and retrieve the call at a later time. Calls can be retrieved by any extension on the system enabling you to move to another location to continue your conversation.
Paging and door entry
Paging/Push-to-talk allows you operate the system as an intercom, this features is particularly useful for a Manager/PA setup as calls can be parked by the PA, announced through the paged extension with the park position of the caller. We call this Meet-me parking.
With Norango Freedom paging zones can be created and connected to a tannoy/public address system that Norango can supply and install. We can even provide and install video door entry systems linked to your deskphone (snom 800 series).
Music on hold or marketing announcements system-wide or set by extension
Advanced sound management
With Norango Freedom you are able to customize your caller's experience for times when they are waiting on the system. Sounds can be recorded messages made via the telephone handset, music files that you upload or promotional messages such as radio adverts that you may be running.
Target your promotional message
Different sounds can be applied to different extensions or departments so for example sales calls may receive a promo message whilst relaxing music may be more appropriate for people waiting for customer support. You may also sell products or services to different age/demographic/nationalities where recorded messages/promo sounds can be tailored to your audience.
Consistent across your entire network
Sounds are managed at global or extension level (or both), meaning that corporate messages can be applied to your entire branch network quickly and easily.
Call Conferencing and collaboration - Busy Lamps - One button connect
Improved collaboration 
Call conferences can be created with 3 to 60 participants from the keypad of your desk phone or mobile app. Standard user conferencing allows ad-hoc sessions of upto 5 participants with each being invited in by the user.
For more formal conferences Norango's conference bridge facility allows callers to access scheduled conferences by dialling a dedicated conference meeting point number. Attendees are announced to the conference and are managed by a conference moderator. Whichever method you choose, conferences can be recorded and the recordings can be distributed according to your wishes.
Colleague availability at a glance and one button connect
Norango Freedom supports busy lamp fields with one button connect meaning that you can see the status of colleagues from any of our desk phones that support this feature wherever they are located.

Internal and external call recording
Call recording has become a vital component in any successful organisations telephony setup. Telephone sales training, monitoring of compliance by employees, dispute resolution and paperless transactions are made possible with Norango Freedoms simple to deploy voice call recording service. Old fashioned premises based call recording platforms are prohibitively expensive and often restricted to recording calls made to external callers only.
You decide who to record
Norango Freedom voice call recording is configured on a per extension basis, meaning you can choose who is recorded and who is not. With Norango Freedom all calls both internal (colleague to colleague) and external are recorded.
Ad-Hoc record on-the-fly
The flexibility of the voice recording service is further enhanced with the option of certain extensions being able to invoke call recording on an ad-hoc basis from the users telephone device.
Apps and Integration Norango Freedom API
Call API lets you integrate with your existing systems
Norango Freedom's API interface allows the use of HTTP REST based methods in order to initiate calls or control existing calls. The Norango API basically adds telephony functionality to any third party software, enabling such features as your callers records being brought up with the call and for you to dial from the record. Further integration is possible such as the creation of call journals or the controlling of calls via your in-house applications. SaaS systems such as SalesForce and SugarCRM are supported as well as desktop products such as ACT!, Maximizer and Goldmine.
